We stepped out last night For the Step Up For Kids fundraiser and it was a hit. Salli Maxwell got it right. Her dream to create a parent center for the Prescott area is in motion and I am so proud to help out. The step stools that were painted and donated were all beautiful and inspiring to behold. The colors and styles of the local artists were on point and making people talk and salivate, so it was evident that the stools were going to a good home or business. I was so excited when both of my stools were bidded on and left the building. It was a thrill to meet the couple who won my bead painting and to know that their little child that was now playing with my son in the lovely free daycare by The Children's Garden, would enjoy it too.
It was so much fun to run around and bid on a few things myself. This has to become an annual event...ok Salli? Seeing old friends like Patti Ortiz put joy in my heart. I just love her! She along with the Tis family donated the beautiful space for the event. The Tis Art Center and Gallery is the hottest place in town for affordable fine art and gifts. Go take a look!
The nice man holding the envelope on the left of Patti and I won my Sunflower Steps for the Spring Hill Suites hotel in Prescott. Mr. Randall Nishinaka is the assistant general manager and said he would put them in the lady's room, so please visit my steps when you can.
What a great night had by all and my husband had fun too. The wine and food was pretty tasty and hit the spot.
My husband and I don't go out much, but this was a very special occasion for a good cause, so he cleared his schedule. He even made a bid and won. Thanks dear!
I must thank my sister-in-law for her jewelry line. She created this set for me with my favorite color, and it included the necklace, bracelet, and ring. Mrs Nelly Williams handmade these with love and has a jewelry line for little girls and their tea parties. Keep her in mind if you ever want to have a cute dress up tea party.
